Cultural Quarter May monthly update |
||
|
Hello,
May has been another busy month for us on the Cultural Quarter. Our priorities were set back at the beginning of April and will continue until the end of June:
Tackling vehicle anti-social behaviour surrounding Granby Street and local streets. YOU SAID: WE DID: During the night time economy officers from the Cultural Quarter have been out issuing section 59 ASB warning notices and notices to identify the drivers of vehicles we were unable to stop in order to progress reports of driving offences.
Tackling theft related offences during the evening hours and ensuring business are safe YOU SAID:
WE DID: Sgt Cross and the wider team have been focussing their efforts in the Granby Street area whereby the businesses had raised their concerns to us. After some proactive work a male was arrested for a number of retail theft offences in the area. There are now restrictions in place to prevent the male returning to the area.
Tackling drug related offences including drug dealing and drug taking YOU SAID: Officers from the team have done some proactive search work and recovered a large quantity of stashed drugs. Officers have been proactively intelligence gathering as well as conducting stop searches leading to a number of arrests and out of court disposals for drugs offences.
Kind Regards
Bec
